Student taught in Kindergarten through eight grade during my student teaching placements
While studying at West Virginia University I had the opportunity to take a variety of studio classes to experiment with different mediums I haven't explored yet and to help me become a stronger art teacher; by having experience working with several different mediums. Some of the different courses that I have taken are: Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Multimedia, Photography, Sculpture and Art Education classes. I
have also had the opportunity to help my painting Professor Amy Schissel set up her show at West Virginia University in the Mesaros Galleries which showed in the spring of 2015. During the Fall of 2018 I got to work with my Professor and Artist Amy Schissel as an artist assistant helping her complete her artwork in time for a show in the Winter of 2018.
While studying at West Virginia University I worked at a summer recreational camp for my hometown and have worked with the campers and other counselors to set up art activities for them. I have also helped plan and paint the mural with the campers that we do every year.
